Day 10 - India

In India, persecution towards Christians is often violent attacks, imprisonment, and even death. India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is working to make India a pure Hindu nation. This has caused persecution for Believers to become more frequent and worse in the last year. In India, there are anti-conversion laws that have been used against Pastors, Church planters, and Evangelists. Many rural Christians have never had access to a Bible. Praise

• Praise God for the 10,000 Bibles Shepherd is funding through Voice of the Martyrs for those living in India's most hostile areas.
• Praise God for the fact that with legal assistance, imprisoned Christians are normally able to post bail or show that the charges are unfounded.

Prayer

• Pray for the main persecutors of Christianity, the well-organized Hindu extremist groups, local governments, and nationalist Hindus who seek to “purify” India by making it entirely Hindu. Pray for their spiritual awakening, and salvation in Jesus.
• Pray for the 150 new churches planted and followed up by Voice of the Martyrs.
• Over 95% of India does not know Jesus. That’s 1.33 billion people. Pray for a deepening of faith in Jesus.
