Day 11 - India

In India, persecution towards Christians is often violent attacks, imprisonment, and even death. India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is working to make India a pure Hindu nation. This has caused persecution for Believers to become more frequent and worse in the last year. In India, there are anti-conversion laws that have been used against Pastors, Church planters, and Evangelists. Many rural Christians have never had access to a Bible. Prepare Your Heart

Watch the video below and pray along with an Indian believer for their country.

Praise

  • Praise God for the estimated 30 to 70 million Christians in India (a 5 percent minority among India’s population of 1.4 billion) who are devoted to sharing about Jesus.
  • Praise God that despite greater government restrictions on Christianity, churches ARE growing.

Prayer

  • Pray for Pastor Maruti, in Belagavi, who ministers to temple prostitutes and their children.
  • Pray for the Bible training held for pastors experiencing persecution.
  • Pray for India’s government, which strongly intends to make India a purely Hindu nation, to encounter the Lord and act with compassion.
  • Pray for the salvation of the Hindu–nationalist informants that live in nearly every village and report on the activities of Christians, resulting in attacks and arrests.
