Day 16 - North Korea

In North Korea, persecution is severe and relentless. The government views Christianity as a foreign ideology and the only religion allowed is the Juche which consists of solely worshipping the Kim family. If caught with a Bible, praying, or talking about Jesus, North Koreans risk being arrested, sent to concentration camps, and even executed. Entire families can suffer if one family member is caught being a Christian. Bibles are illegal in North Korea and must be kept secret and smuggled from city to city. Praise

• Praise God for the many North Koreans who have escaped safely from North Korea.
• Praise God for the ears who have heard about the Good News in such a controlling country, God still makes a way!
• Praise God for the many South Korean Pastors, like Pastor Seungeun Kim, who dedicate time, energy, and resources to helping North Koreans escape and share the Gospel.

Prayer

• Pray that the Gospel and the good works of Christian people who love North Korean people are spread throughout North Korea through the creative ways that people are using technology to disseminate information throughout North Korea
• Pray that the ministers and other Christian hands and feet of Christians who are working to help North Koreans defect will remain strong and keep rescuing North Koreans who want to defect from North Korea. 
• Pray for the people who endure harsh climates, high security, and major consequences when they escape.
• Pray for safety and funding for organizations and Pastors who help North Koreans escape to safety.
